ReplyDeleteI would also like a cap on how many modifiers you can use per game because it makes it OP when you have all of them. You get like 100000 points by the 3rd round

DeleteWave Start / wave speed is space bar. You can only start rounds early in time attack mode, which is the yellow arrow thing when selecting the game type.
DeleteAlso, thank you very much for those hotkeys. I was going to do them myself, but someone else doing them is much better for me :)

ReplyDeleteYes! I've tried using Wine to open it but it seems the only other oprion is to partition my hard drive using Boot Camp to run Windows, something I don't want to do just to play this game. We need a Mac version!
DeleteI'm in love with this game, but one of my biggest issues is that most towers are unable to pop most types of bloons and it's not quite clear what can pop what. I never know what can pop the 100+ popping power blimps and its so easy to die to them when you thing your defence is great and then somehow it doesn't get popped.
ReplyDeleteThe titanium blimps (purple, arrow-shapedish) can be easily popped by a few moab maulers. Research the upgrade after bloon buster (bomb tower left upgrade path) or use the engineer shield buster/emp grenade (great against all shields, including shielded moab classes
DeleteWhat also works: hydra rocket pods (sucks against blimp's children), Ray of doom, dart tank ability, 1st tier spactory (sucks against blimp's children), blade maelstrom, burny stuff mortar (need good micro, next tier is even better), orbital discharge charge tower (sucks against blimp's children) and other stuff that I have forgot or not yet unlocked
So quick question, I'm on a mac so I decided to run the program through VirtualBox as an emulator which is great cause now I can play the awesome game you made. However, it's unbearably slow to the point that round 1's red balloons take 2 min to go through a map. Does anyone know how to make the game speed up faster or is this because I'm using an emulator and I might have set it up wrong? I'm very new to the use of an emulator so this might be the reason. Thanks yall!

ReplyDeleteUnknown i tried to use wine the first time i used it it worked. But then it said the program has encountered problem and needs to close so it stopped working.
ReplyDeleteSame here, running it without making it an application works but you cannot save your game. Nothing really seems to work so we really need a Mac version.

What that means?
If you get enough monkey money, the number goes off of the screen. Could you make it so the number shifts left, or at least is further left to begin with? I think I almost have enough monkey money to buy all of the bloon points I need for all of the upgrades, but I can't tell.

why does the pre 3rd tier upgrades have only one option? doesn't it make more sense to keep the regular btd style but with 3 paths?

ReplyDeleteExplosives, orbital discharge, anything that pops more than 10 bloons per shot and can hit moabs. If desperate, use road spikes.

ReplyDeleteThe game could have a Challenge editor where you could make your own challenge and share it with others
I mean you could design how much is the starter money and you could design what bloons will come in every wawe because the game have so much bloon types it could be one of the best thing I could imagine...
So you can edit every round one-by-one that what types of bloons will come (You can set that how many round your challenge have)
You can edit how many is the starter money and can set tower restrictions etc.
when we get access to the source code after 1.3, we will be able to mod them in.
